I'm thinking about going, it sounds like fun and it also sounds like a worthwhile form of gambling: the odds aren't stacked in favor of the house, you just pay a vig, and you're betting against the other members of the public counting on them making bad decisions.

I'm not interested in OTB, the OTB parlor is just a cheap place to get drinks in the morning, I am however considering it as a worthwhile pastime when I have Mondays or Wednesdays off (or on special days like Saturday for the Oregon Derby).

Has anyone been? Any advice?
