Interview with a vampire

This evening I decided that I'd gone to far with my photoshopping of Imagine's image, therefore I replaced it , only to chat with him later and discover that my spidey sense that smelt neo-fascism was correct. I submit to you, the gentle audience of Elowel, the entirety of the chatlog.

THIS IS WHAT A BUSH SUPPORTER LOOKS LIKE

Mr Gondorff: image updated http://home.comcast.net/~mattoneiros/joeystalin04.png
Joeboe1984: interesting...
Joeboe1984: thank you
Mr Gondorff: hey man, didn't think you'd take it so seriously
Joeboe1984: actually, you know...the sign thing didnt bug me
Mr Gondorff: it was the nazi thing
Joeboe1984: and in all actuality
Joeboe1984: the nazi thing, i figured it was gonna be there...and most people didnt even realize it was there to begin with
Joeboe1984: it did kinda piss me off when i first saw it
Mr Gondorff: that was the point of it... I never figured anyone would find it and I like to stick little things into compositions for people to find
Joeboe1984: by about midday today i figured it wasnt worth the time anymore...
Joeboe1984: i tend to notice things like that, somehow
Mr Gondorff: by 1:30?
Joeboe1984: approximately
Joeboe1984: actually it was about 12:30, but still
Mr Gondorff: ahh, mountain time
Joeboe1984: well...yesterday now that i look at the time
Joeboe1984: didnt realize how late it was getting
Joeboe1984: or early depending
Mr Gondorff: I was surprised you bitched about the nazi thing so much, I would've thought the lovecraftian responses would've reinforced the general absurdist message
Mr Gondorff: but I suppose some people just don't "get it"
Joeboe1984: well i knew it was a joke
Joeboe1984: i just went with it
Joeboe1984: mainly due to my lack of anything else to occupy my mind
Mr Gondorff: then why so much protest? why not reply in turn, absurdly
Joeboe1984: i had a reputation among some of the people there as being a real ass on kmorg and starting a lot of arguing and debate
Joeboe1984: and i wouldnt want to disappoint
Mr Gondorff: a damn fool reason to do something
Joeboe1984: perhaps
Mr Gondorff: you prefer to live life as a charictature?
Joeboe1984: only on that site
Joeboe1984: im not so bullheaded elsewhere
Mr Gondorff: interesting
Joeboe1984: although, honestly, i did not intend for that pisture to start so much shit
Joeboe1984: picture
Mr Gondorff: well, as many people have said, opposition to bush is extremely strong
Joeboe1984: i was bound to find that out one way or the other
Joeboe1984: may as well have been early on
Mr Gondorff: and when one posts such things, one must expect such reaction, but I suppose it was all for the benefit of your hobby
Joeboe1984: well...i really didnt intend that one to start anything
Joeboe1984: as ive said...i was content letting drama unfold somewhere other than my journal
Joeboe1984: i was just posting that to express my views on something, it just got out of hand apparently
Mr Gondorff: so what exactly makes you support bush
Mr Gondorff: for someone who seems equally distrusting of both sides, I'd assume a person would choose a new face
Joeboe1984: I basically support Bush because I have always followed the person who I thought would be the better leader. For example, I think Bill Clinton was a good president, and I feel that HW Bush was not. I always look at who I think knows better, and communicates better, what their exact stance on something is. I prefer to have a President who will not waiver to what the people want to hear, rather he will stick to what he believes in, and not feel like he has to change that view.
Mr Gondorff: ahh, but isn't the point of representative government doing the people's will?
Joeboe1984: My point is not that the President should not listen to the people
Joeboe1984: I am saying that John Kerry has been changing everything he ever stood for in his time in the Senate to cater to what the people think. He is essentially changing who he is just to get elected
Mr Gondorff: see, now the problem is, that seems to be the soundbyte impression that the news media has been working to imprint on the american mind
Joeboe1984: are you saying kerry hasnt flipflopped as much as people say he has?
Mr Gondorff: does it take a bigger man to admit that he was wrong and change his opinion accordingly, or does blindly and fooloishly forging on even in the face of the fact that you were wrong make a man good
Joeboe1984: whereas, I remember watching the 2000 election, and remembered doing my research into George Bush, and he stayed with the same beliefs he had prior to his campaign. Even this time around, he is not changing any of the things he has stood for, that I have come across as of yet.
Joeboe1984: I don't agree with a lot of what Bush stands for, but I agree with less of what Kerry stands for.
Mr Gondorff: what about matters of policy? is it OK to strip people's civil rights so long as you "stick to it"
Joeboe1984: what do you mean?
Mr Gondorff: how about the patriot act
Mr Gondorff: when it was introduced
Mr Gondorff: the acknowledgement on all people's part at the time
Joeboe1984: the patriot act has its ups and its downs
Mr Gondorff: was that it would be necessary for a time to reduce civil rights, therefore a sunset clause was introduced
Mr Gondorff: if bush is re-elected he says he will remove the sunset clause and introduce legislation taking the patriot act further
Joeboe1984: well, some of the things in the Patriot Act are valid, but I do think they need to revise the thing
Joeboe1984: a lot
Mr Gondorff: that's the point though, some were valid, and for the most part I stand by the patriot act, particularly the sunset clause
Joeboe1984: yes...i agree
Mr Gondorff: but how can you stand by a man who admittedly wants to permanently step down civil liberties in America?
Joeboe1984: i look at the big picture
Mr Gondorff: which is?
Joeboe1984: who has the most things i support and agree with....every politician is going to have their own little flaws, their own stupid agenda, their own mindless "Patriot Acts"...but to stray from the person I feel more comfortable electing president would be stupid on my part
Mr Gondorff: and why is it that you're comfortable with a reduction of civil liberties?
Joeboe1984: i am more comfortable electing George Bush than John Kerry, for the reasons I stated above
Mr Gondorff: because george bush will relentlessly stick to his opinion, in spite of what the american people want and whether he's right or wrong?
Joeboe1984: thats not what i said
Joeboe1984: he knows what he believes in, and is able to let eveyone else know....at least he has a stance....
Joeboe1984: but that is all i am going to say on the subject
Joeboe1984: as it is late
Mr Gondorff: son
Joeboe1984: and i must work in the morning
Mr Gondorff: you seem to have a bad habit
Mr Gondorff: when people disagree
Mr Gondorff: and won't bend to your opinion
Mr Gondorff: you say, essentially "well, we disagree so there's no more point in discussing this"
Joeboe1984: i have to work tomorrow...we can continue this t a later date
Joeboe1984: at
Mr Gondorff: and that, is how dictators, fools and dangerously misinformed people
Mr Gondorff: come to power
Mr Gondorff: and start wars
Mr Gondorff: is it worth fighting for, to say you believe in george w. bush?
Mr Gondorff: if it is
Mr Gondorff: then stay here, and stand your ground
Joeboe1984: i have no problem with that, but i am not going to sit here and waste time that i could use to sleep discussing politics
Mr Gondorff: because what? politics is mere philsophy?
Mr Gondorff: politics is life and death for thousands of people
Joeboe1984: im not going to jeopardize my own life discussing politics with you
Joeboe1984: life tomorrow
Mr Gondorff: how does this jeopardize your life?
Joeboe1984: as in....how much of one i have
Joeboe1984: i was getting there
Mr Gondorff: because the decisions the person you elect don't matter?
Mr Gondorff: because those don't affect a person's right to live and make decisions
Mr Gondorff: to have a life?
Joeboe1984: I already know who I am electing....you have an opinion that bush is the worst person ever, but there are many other people that disagree with you
Joeboe1984: myself included
Mr Gondorff: bush isn't the worst person ever
Mr Gondorff: but your apathy towards the life of other human beings makes you damn close
Joeboe1984: either way, if you wish to continue this discussion later, i would be more than happy to entertain it
Joeboe1984: for right now i am leaving, good night
Mr Gondorff: ha

There you have it folks, a fool and the first certifiable Elowel Troll.

howdy

I've changed a bit since kmorg, and that's cool. I might take up residence and make use of this blog, or you might just see me meander through your blog and drop a couple replies.

Either way, there'll be some sort of a presence on my part.

My name is Matt Oneiros^w^w John Kerry and I endorse this blogging community.
